House, C18th with C17th remains. Sandstone rubble with slate roof. Main
house has central entry and end stacks. Wing at right angles run west
towards road at north end. 2 storeys. Windows of main house reconstructed
from ones of rebated and chamfered C17th type, now having plain lintels and
extended mullions. All are of 3 lights except the ground-floor window to
the left of the door which is of 4 lights. Door has plain stone surround.
At the rear are rebated and chamfered mullioned windows of 2 and 3 lights.
West wing has chimney in gable towards road. Windows have plain reveals
except for one on the 1st floor of the north wall which has a rebated and
chamfered surround with central mullion missing. In the angle between the
wing and main house a lintel with raised lettering 'CF 1680' survives,
together with the right-hand moulded jamb of a former doorway.
