House, 'R T 1778' within pediment of porch. Squared watershot
sandstone with stone slate roof. Double-pile plan. 2 storeys,
with attic, 2 bays. Windows sashed with plain stone surrounds. To
the right of the door is one of 3 lights; on the 1st floor are 2 of
2 lights, all with square mullions. To the left of the door is a
single-storey canted bay window with blank sides and with a sashed
window with plain stone surround at the front. The stone porch has an
inner door with plain stone surround and an outer architrave with
moulded pediment on console brackets. Shaped stone gutter brackets.
The gables have copings and chimneys. The right-hand (east) gable wall
has a Venetian window with plain stone surround under the gable. At
the rear are 4 2-light windows with plain stone surrounds, square
mullions, and glazing bars. In the centre is a tall stair window with
plain stone surround and 4 transoms. Under the eaves it widens to form
a 3-light attic window.
