Windmill. Built 1806. Brick, tarred. Conical tower of 6 storeys: six
4-pane windows, in line. Ground floor: 3 blocked segmental-headed openings
of various dates and sizes; one boarded door. The sockets and corbels for a
timber gallery survive at second-floor level. Boarded double-leaf taking-in
door under segmental head to third floor. This mill, the only survival of
4 wind-powered whiting mills in the former East Riding, had originally
5 sails to the specification of Smeaton.
