Farmhouse. c1840. Red brick with front of stock brick in Flemish bond.
Welsh slate roof. L-shaped on plan: double-depth with 2-room, central
entrance-hall west front and kitchen wing to rear left. 2 storeys, 3 bays;
symmetrical. Plinth. 3 steps to 6-panel door beneath C20 overlight beneath
wedge lintel. 12-pane sashes in flush wooden architraves with stone sills
beneath wedge lintels. Plain wooden eaves board. Hipped roof. Corniced
side wall stack to right. Round-headed stair window with glazing bars to
left return. Interior contains open-well staircase with turned newel post,
plain balusters and ramped grip handrail similar in style to staircases at
The Old Vicarage, Luddington (qv), and The Cross Keys Inn, Market Place,
Crowle (qv). Included for group value.
