House. C17, altered late C18 and later. Red and vitreous brick
in English bond, with moulded plinth and modillion eaves. Old tile
roof, brick chimneys to left and between right bays. 2 storeys, 3 bays.
First floor has 3-light wooden casements; ground floor left bays have
paired barred wooden casements with top lights and gauged heads.
Early C20 shop window with cornice, deep frieze and central bow in
right bay. C20 door with architrave frame and flat hood
between right bays. Interior has some timber framing, the partition
between left bays with substantial timbers, probably once forming the
outside wall. Fireplace between right bays has stop-chamfered
lintel. Centre room has heavily chamfered spine beam. Late C19
arched open cupboard with shaped shelves in left room. Included for
group value.
