Small house, later remodelled as cottage ornee (pair of cottages). Probably C18,
remodelled in the C19 and early C20. Painted rubble and cob walls. Asbestos slate
roof (formerly thatched) with original rubble stack over left-hand gable end and late
C19 or early C20 external granite stack with brick chimney at the right-hand gable
end.
Plan: Small 2 room plan house, plus single later lean-to at rear. Probably original
kitchen living room on the left and parlour on the right. Later remodelled as 2
cottages with each room becoming the kitchen/living room . Now one house. Gothic
style details
Exterior: 2 storeys. Slightly asymmetrical 2 window front with pair of doorways in
the middle within a Gothic style porch with scalloped barge boards to its gable ends.
Old ledged door in left-hand doorway, C20 glazed door in other doorway. At left and
right are original window openings spanned by hardwood lintels. Original or circa
early C19 horizontal-sliding sashes. 6 and 9-pane lights to left-hand window; pair
of 6-pane lights to other window. First floor windows are later triangular headed
Gothic style dormered casements with small panes and traceried heads in steeply-
pitched gables above the eaves.
