SD 95 SE STIRTON WITH THORLBY STIRTON

Farmhouse, c1790 with C20 alterations. Squared rubble, stone dressings, stone slate
roof. Central staircase plan. 2 storeys, formerly double fronted with c1900 one
bay extension to left. Formerly central entrance has plain surround, half glazed
door. 2 ground floor and 2 upper floor windows have 3 lights, plain surrounds and
recessed flat faced mullions, C20 2-pane casements and fixed lights. Left-hand
bay has c1900 4-light recessed flat faced mullioned window to ground floor and
similar but 3-light to upper floor; 2-pane casements and fixed lights. Right-hand
and left-hand gable end ridge stacks, and stack at former left-hand gable.
