Farmhouse. Probably late C17 and C18, with later alterations. Rendered and
painted sandstone, rubble plinth or casing with timber-framed upper storey. Welsh
slate roofs and two extruded sandstone end stacks with brick shafts. Rectangular
plan aligned roughly north-east/south-west with short cross-wing a north-east end.
Two storeys and attic. South-east elevation has 1:1 windows, late C19 to early
C20 casements of two lights. Ground floor has a 4-light and 3-light window of the
same date. Masking right part of gable front is a large sandstone stack, to the
right of which is a catslide extension to the gabled wing. Left side has another
large sandstone stack. Frame or left part has thin closely set posts to upper
storey with two diagonal braces, probably C18. Gable has square panels. Entry on
north-west side has low gabled porch supported on two posts with recessed panels.
Ledged oak door. Interior has ceiling beam. with lamb's tongue run-out chamfer
stops. Oak open well staircase probably late C18 to early C19 has two flights and
two half-landings with turned newels. Trusses have raking struts from ties to
