Farmhouse and attached barn. Probably C17 and C18, possibly with C15 or C16
origins. Sandstone rubble and timber-frame with brick and woven infill and
some weatherboarding. Corrugated iron and felt roofs. Sandstone and brick
stacks. Rectangular plan aligned north-north-east/south-south-west with
small wing projecting eastwards at south end and three-bay barn to north.
One storey and attic. East elevation has gable front to left with central
2-light opening to attic. Remaining windows of gable and wall undergoing
repair at time of re-survey (May 1986). To right of gable are two entries
and a small opening set in brick and woven infill panels. Large sandstone
stack at junction with barn which is part rubble and part weatherboarded
and has corrugated iron roof. Interior: queen struts to trusses of house
and parallel raking struts to barn. Three short cruck blades noted on
ground in barn.
