Cottage. 1848 by F.O'Connor for the National Co-operative Land
Company; altered mid-late C20. Wet dash to stone walls, rendered
quoins, stone plinth: smooth render left return: slate roof.
Three-room front, leanto to rear, flat roofed extension, all single
storey. Front: fully-glazed late C20 door, up 2 steps; single-
light late C20 windows each side; trefoil vent to gable over;
plain verge rafters on consoles. Two-light late C20 casement in
wing on left, 2-light original casement with small panes in wing on
right. Gable chimneys, slightly corbelled out. Forms part of
Chartist settlement, originally with 3 acre holding. Listed
principally for historical and sociological reasons.
