Cottage. 1848 by F.O'Connor for the National Co-operative Land
Company, altered C20. Painted render, on stone walls, rendered
quoins, slate roof. Three-room front, one room deep, leanto to
rear with extension on left, single storey. Front, mid to late
C20 metal windows in original openings, rendered surrounds.
Central doorway, infilled plain panel below, single pane above,
steps missing, rendered surround. Single-light windows each side:
plain verge rafters on consoles. Gable ventilator missing.
Two-light window in each wing: centre rear chimney. Rear leanto
partly rebuilt in brick. Originally with 3 acre holding; forms
part of Chartist settlement. Listed principally for historical
and sociological reasons.
