NU 12 SE NEWTON-BY-THE-SEA DOXFORD FARM

Dovecote with attached farmbuilding and cartsheds. 1825 incorporating earlier
fabric. Rubble with horizontally-tooled quoins and dressings; Welsh slate
roofs. South elevation: 3-storey dovecote at right has doorway in
alternating-block surround, window above and blocked triple-arched pigeon
opening with stone shelf below eaves; pyramidal roof. Attached 2-storey part
to left has ground-floor window and several older blocked openings. Far left
longer single-storey range with stable door, boarded double doors under timber
lintel and 5-bay open section with timber lintels on cast-iron columns.
