Detached house. Early-mid C18 with late C18-early C19 extension.
Early range: limestone rubble with dressed stone quoins. Later
extension: random limestone; stone slate roofs to both ranges;
ashlar stacks to the main body. Rectangular plan to main body
with a lean-to extension to the rear; later extension is 'L'-
shaped in plan and runs forwards from the right gable end of the
main body. Main body; 2 storeys with attic and basement. Later
extension: 1 1/2 storeys. Symmetrical, 2-windowed facade to main
body with 2 and 3-light double-chamfered stone-mullioned casements.
Hoods over the ground floor windows. Two-light double-chamfered
stone-mullioned casement to basement (lower right) with leaded
panes and early fastenings. Central 2-light roof dormer chamfered
surround with two small compass drawn rosettes and traces of a date
'174-' towards the top. Broad C20 gabled weather-boarded canopy
supported on raking struts. Extension with 2-light wooden
casements with timber lintels; two 2-light hipped roof dormers.
All casements to the extension with leaded panes.
