II
Farmhouse. Dated 'BC / Built / 1803'. For Bryan Cooke of Owston Hall.
Cement rendered, Welsh slate roof. 2 storeys, 4 bays with lower 2-storey,
2-bay wing set back on left having 1-storey addition on its left.
Main house: 6-panel door with plain fanlight to bay 3 in recessed round-
arched panel; other bays have similar recesses enclosing round-headed sashes
with glazing bars. 1st floor: 4-pane sashes with projecting stone sills;
eared date plaque beneath bay-3 sill. Hipped roof with rebuilt yellow-brick
ridge stack above door and end stack on left. Wing to left: exposed rubble
walling; part-glazed door beneath segmental arch to right of 6-pane sash;
2 similar sashes to 1st floor; stone eaves courses to C20-tiled, hipped roof
with end stack on left. Addition on left with stable door to right of
blocked doorway, casement on left.
