Water-mill. Late C18 and mid C19. Red brick, ashlar dressings, pantile
roof. 3 storeys, 3 bays with full-height C19 outshut to left and single-
storey outshut to right housing wooden water-wheel. Central 3 bays: first
two floors C18, with stone quoins. Outer bays of slightly sunken ground
floor have 4-pane side-sliding sashes, that to right in partly blocked
opening with flat brick arch, central bay has similar blocked opening.
First floor: to left a board stable door. Other bays have 4-pane side-
sliding sashes with flat brick arches. Second floor: outer bays have 4-pane
sashes with segmental brick arches. Roof hipped. Left outshut has 12-pane,
3-light side-sliding sash in large opening below timber lintel with brick
blocking, and 4-pane side-sliding sash above. Right outshut has small board
door. Interior: the mill retains all its wooden machinery, with 2 sets of
millstones, all from the late C18.
