Signal box c1860. Possibly designed by G. T Andrews for the
Northallerton Bedale line. Brick with ashlar dressings and slate
roofs. 2 storey. Ground floor has 3 round arched windows to the
north-east front. South -east front has a single doorway to the left
and an external flight of wooden steps leading to another door on the
first floor. To its right a 2-light glazing bar sliding sash. The
south-west front has on the first floor a single round headed window
eitherside of the external stack. The north-east front has 2 2-light
glazing bar sashes, with a projecting iron balcony.
