Balustrade and wall defining south end of south parterre. 1720s.
Sandstone. Approximately 100 metres in length running approximately east-
west with central gap and turning at ends to enclose pedestals to south-east
and south-west corners of parterre (qv). Approximately one metre in height.
Open section with bulbous balusters between pedestals. Blind sections with
fielded panels around pedestals. Hussey C, English Gardens and Landscapes
