Stables and byres. Late C18. Herringbone-tooled sandstone with pantile
roof. 1 1/2-storey, 3-bay range, returning on right as 1½-storey, 4-bay
range. Doveholes in left gable end. Third bay is gable end of returned
range and contains rebated pitching window. Outer side of return range
obscured by later buildings. Yard sides of both ranges contain board
stable doors beneath herringbone-tooled lintels. Ranges form one side and
part of another of farmyard at Howlet Hall farm and are included for group
value.
