to north of
Baysdale Abbey

Barn, stables and cartsheds, dated 1818 but possibly late C18,
barn raised by one storey slightly later. Coursed sandstone
rubble, with coursed squared stone upper storey on barn. Pantiled
roofs with stone ridges and kneelers. U-shaped range around
courtyard facing west. North barn 2 storeys, 2 boarded doors, 2
part-slatted windows and a Yorkshire sash on ground floor; boarded
loft door and a pivoted casement above. Hipped roof. Later left
lean-to kennel extension. Other ranges one storey. Central round-
arched passage entrance with dated keystone, cut voussoirs and
impost blocks. At right 2 part-slatted windows; at left a double
cart door and a Dutch door. Similar openings in south wing, which
also has hipped roof. Hip copings rest on circular kneelers.
One-storey east extension from barn, in similar style.
