Coach-house now dwelling. c1840 with later alterations. By Decimus Burton
for second Lord Howden. Magnesian limestone with ashlar dressings and Welsh
slate roof. 2-storey, 3-bay pedimented centre-with single-storey, 2-bay
wings with central pedimented dormers. Plinth. Segment-arched arcade with
impost band. Central recessed entrance a C20 part-glazed door. 16-pane,
segment-arched sashes to centre, casements to right range within further
recesses. To left range are C20 plank garage doors. Centre has first-floor
band. 8-pane casements. Moulded open pediment, contains central blind
oculus. Side stacks. Wings have low parapet with central pedimented
dormers with plank door to left and casement window to right. Ashlar
coping.
