Farmhouse. Circa mid C17 with C19 alterations and late C19 addition. Plastered cob walls, rubble with brick dressings to rear wing. Gable ended slate roof. Two gable end stacks to front range, each projecting rubble with brick shaft. Brick gable end stack to rear wing.
Plan: original range at front consisted of two rooms with central passage, each
heated by an end stack - although the left-hand one may be a later insertion. In the late C19 a rear kitchen wing was added with a parallel dairy range to its left. The screens passage was removed from the front range creating one large room.
Exterior: two storeys. Asymmetrical two window front of early-mid C20 casements - two-light to the left, three-light to the right. Late C19 or early C20 gabled timber porch to right of centre with C19 plank door behind.
Interior: remains of plank and muntin screen to left of front door has chamfered muntins with notched stops and a longitudinal panel at the top. Two chamfered cross beams - the right hand one was the head-beam for a screen on the other side of the passage and has mortices in its soffit. The fireplace at the right hand end has a curved back and low cambered and chamfered lintel. Early-mid C19 wall cupboard in rear wall has moulded panels to doors and dentilled cornice. Substantial feet of straight principal rafters visible on first floor.
