FONTHILL BISHOP THE RING
ST 93 SW (west side)

1/78 Nos 29 and 30

GV II

Two semi-detached cottages. Late C17. Dressed limestone, concrete
tiled roof, gable end brick stacks. L-plan. Two-storey, 4-window;
casements. Planked door in chamfered stone case to left of centre
to No 29, either side is 3-light recessed chamfered mullioned
casement with larger 3-light mullioned casement to right. First
floor has three 3-light and one 2-light mullioned casements. Right
return has single chamfered light to three floors, rear wing has
gabled porch to No 30 and 2-light mullioned casement. Left return
has blocked chamfered light to attic.
Interior of No 29 has chamfered beam with exposed joists and open
fireplace with chamfered lintel with jewel stops, on stone jambs.
