FONTHILL BISHOP THE RING
ST 93 SW (west side)

1/77 Nos 27 and 28

GV II

Two semi-detached cottages. Late C17, altered C20. Limestone
rubble stone, concrete tiled roof, gable end brick stacks. Single
storey and attic, 3 windows; casements. Central planked door in
chamfered stone case to No 28, three-light recessed chamfered
mullioned casement either side, three full gabled attic dormers;
with 3-light mullioned casement either side of 2-light mullioned
casements. Right return has 3-light mullioned casement to first
floor and single casement to attic. Attached to left is single
storey wing with two 2-light mullioned casements and half-hipped
roof, gable end has C20 porch with 2-light mullioned casement over,
main range has blocked single window. Rear has single storey wing
with mullioned casement and half-hipped roof. Interior not
inspected.
