Pair of attached houses, now one house. House to right with shop inserted at ground
floor, now all one house. Early - mid C19, with few later alterations. Slatestone
rubble with brick dressings. Hipped slurried slate roof with ridge tiles.
Plan: Pair of attached houses with paired central entrances, each with one room to
front and rear at the outer sides. House to right has a wider frontage, built on a
cellar and with a shop inserted in the ground floor front room, probably in circa mid
C19.
Exterior: 3 storeys, nearly symmetrical 3-window front; C19 windows. Ground floor of
house to left has 16-pane sash and C20 door, with segmental brick arches. Ground
floor of the house to right has C20 door with cambered brick arch and keystone; to
right a 2-light casement to the cellar and a panelled stall riser to the shop window,
which is a square bay with 15 panes. Double panelled doors to right for shop
entrance with plain pilaster to the right of the door and the left of the shop
window, and cornice overall. First and second floors have three 16-pane sashes with
cambered brick arches, arranged with 2 to right and one to left.
