Two piers and an island pier. Mid-late C19. Granite ashlar and slatestone and
granite rubble.
Plan: Two piers, one to north and one to south enclosing a small harbour; the island
pier is west of the south pier, freestanding inside the harbour.
Both piers are square-ended; the north pier is in granite ashlar with 2 flights of
steps on the inner side and a low wall on the outer side. The southern pier is
larger, in stone rubble, with later lengthening in granite ashlar. Short circular
stone tower at the end and 2 flights of stone steps on the inner side. The south
pier diminishes in height towards the land end.
The island pier is in stone rubble with granite coping, rounded at the sea end and
square-ended toward the land.
