House and shop. Circa early - mid C19; later alterations of later C19 and C20.
Slate rubble; rendered at ground floor, first and second floors slate-hung with rag
slates. Left side slate-hung. Hipped asbestos slate roof with ridge tiles. Axial
stack with brick shaft, shared with the attached house to right, No 5 (q.v.).
Plan: One of a pair of attached houses. Double depth plan, with the entrance to
right and room to front and rear to left. Built into the bank at the rear. Shop in
the ground floor, probably remodelled in circa late C19.
Exterior: 3 storeys, nearly symmetrical 3-window front. Ground floor has C20 shop
front to left with 3 plate-glass windows and C20 door. C20 door to right; rendered
and lined out at ground floor. Plain fascia across the whole front. First and
second floors slate-hung. First floor has three late C19 4-pane sashes. Second
floor has central 4-pane sash and early C19 16-pane sash to right and left. Left
side is all slate-hung; C20 6-pane light at first floor to left. The wall is angled
to left. The rear faces the churchyard and is slate-hung. First floor has C20
glazed door and two single lights. Second floor has 2-light C20 casemment and C19 6-
pane sash.
