Wrongly shown on OS map as Great Tucket Farm. House. C16 or earlier, altered
in C17 and C20. Timber framed, plastered with some exposed imitation framing,
roofed with handmade red clay tiles. 4 bays facing NW, with internal stack
against rear wall in second bay from left. C18/C19 extension to left. C20
extension to front, forming a T-plan, and C20 single-storey lean-to extension to
left of it. 2 storeys. Ground floor, 4 C20 casements. First floor, 2 C20
casements, and one more in gabled dormer above lean-to. C20 door. In bay to
left of stack, C16 inserted floor comprising chamfered axial beam with step
stops, and plain joists of horizontal section supported on pegged clamps. In 2
bays to right, chamfered axial and transverse beams, and joists of horizontal
section, chamfered with step stops, supported on pegged clamps. Walls close
studded, with much replacement timber, and raised in C17. Stack substantially
rebuilt in C20. Shown as Tuttock Farm on Chapman and Andre's map of 1777.
