House. C17, altered in late C19. Timber framed, mostly clad with gault and red
brick in Flemish bond, partly plastered, roofed with concrete tiles. 5-bay
range aligned E-W with axial stack, and single-storey extension at W end. 2-bay
wing to N, and single-storey lean-to extension in NE angle. Late C19 extension
to S, with stack to W, forming a cruciform plan, now facing E. 2 storeys and
attic. E elevation in Gothic Revival style, mainly in gault brick. Ground
floor, one sash with marginal lights, 2 fixed lights with 2-centred heads and
Y-tracery, and one early C20 sash. First floor, one sash with marginal lights,
2 sashes with Tudor heads, one early C20 sash. Attic gable, one sash with
2-centred head. C20 double doors with fanlight in 2-centred head. Interior
mainly plastered, but chamfered beams with lamb's tongue stops exposed in E-W
main range, at both storeys. Large wood-burning hearth facing W, blocked.
