Lime kiln. Circa early C19. Slatestone rubble and brick. Square on plan structure
with round kiln within and entrance to south side. Built into steep bank below road.
Recently rediscovered and excavated, the kiln is roofless but still fairly complete

working area and hearth intact.
The kiln is mentioned in West Briton advertisement, to let by Lord Falmouth, on 7th
September, 1832. From ROUNDWOOD QUAY ON THE FAL by R.C. Curtis
