Watermill with attached house. Mid C18 with few later alterations. Granite rubble.
Hipped slurried slate roof with ridge tiles; the roof has a gable end to rear of the
house, with gable end stack with rubble shaft and cornice.
Plan: The mill house is to front, with the mill attached to rear; the mill is a 3-

have been altered, and a lean-to has been built at the right side, which may conceal
the wheel pit. Interior of the mill not accessible, and the roof is missing. The

left, each room heated from the rear central stack.
Exterior: The mill house is of 2 storeys, built into the bank, with a basement at the
right side; symmetrical 2-window front. First floor has two 2-light casements, 8-
panes each, with L hinges; ground floor has central porch with hipped roof and plain
door to side, 2-pane light to front; 2-light casement with granite lintel to right
casement and 16-pane sash. Right side has 2 doors and central 2-light casement, all
with cambered greenstone heads, at the basement level; ground floor has 16-pane sash
with granite lintel and 12-pane sash with cambered greenstone arch. First floor 2-
light casement to right. The mill building to rear is at higher roof level; extended
at the right side by a lean-to of one storey with loft and corrugated iron roof, door
to side of mill and to the front of the lean-to, with timber lintels, 2-light
casement to front of lean-to. Left side of the mill is blind rubble wall. Rear of
mill has half-hipped roof; ground floor has 3-light casement with timber lintel,
first floor has 3-light casement with cambered greenstone arch, 2nd floor has single
light, 2nd floor string course. Straight joint to left to the lean-to.
Interior: Not accessible.
