Farmhouse: C16 with C18 alterations and early C20 additions. English
garden wall bond brick on stone plinth. Kerridge stone-slate roof and
3 brick chimneys. Originally 2-bay cruck framed plan, but one bay
demolished, now L-shaped. South range has a full cruck frame visible
in the gable and a timber framed porch now in isolation. Mixture of 2
and 3-light iron casements and 1 3-light wood mullioned window all
under cambered brick heads.
Interior: Another full cruck frame visible inside the house. Massive
stone inglenook fireplace with a chamfered beam, has 2 niches for
candles and modern stone grate. This was central originally.
Decorative catch to wood mullioned window. Sunken room in south-west
corner of the house is a former dairy.
