Hill House Farmhouse

Late C17, altered. Walls now pebbledashed, roof renewed in asbestos slates.
Teesside pattern farmhouse with hind's cottage and a gabled rear wing. Two
storeys, three windows, wide proportions. Chimneys at ends and party wall.
House now as one. Door and windows modern. Very high pitched roof has one
remaining old brick chimney, the others rebuilt. Two early beams remain inside,
one with stopped chamfers at both ends, the other a fireplace beam with run-out
chamfer; although the inglenook is bricked up. Staircase renewed. Small pentice
in angle behind.
