Dated on plaque: 1857 KIRK LEVINGTON VILLAGE SCHOOL. Local brick with pantiled roof, Gothic character. One storey, three bays. Projecting gabled porch at left
has boarded door under pointed brick arch. Alternating block surrounds to iron
lattice windows with small opening central lights. At left a two-storey, one-bay
teacher's cottage is now rendered and whitewashed and has replaced sash windows
with glazing bars.
