Church: 1908 by F P Oakley. Irregularly coursed buff sandstone with
sandstone dressings, red tile roof with stone-coped gables and stone
chimney to vestry. Florid Decorated style. North to south layout of
nave of 4 bays and l-bay chancel in one range. East aisle, west porch
and south-east porch. Buttresses divide nave bays which contain
3-light windows with reticulated tracery. South window similar but
above castellated bay window of baptistery. Segmental headed doorcase
to south-east porch has carved oak leaf panels. East aisle has triple
trefoil-headed lights in rectangular surrounds.
Interior: Dark red brick with buff sandstone dressings. 4 bay
arcades on diamond sectioned piers and a plain pointed chancel arch.
Pine hammer beam roof to nave, sprung from stone corbels, has cusped
wind braces. Chancel has wagon roof. (Pevsner and Hubbard).
