Formerly farmhouse, now house: early C17, with early C20 alterations
to the facade. Coursed, squared buff sandstone rubble, with red
sandstone dressings. Welsh slate roof and 2 plastered, brick gable
chimneys. 2½ storey, nearly symmetrical 3-bay front. End bays have
2-storey. canted bay windows with tall ovolo-moulded stone mullions,
supporting coped balconies to 3-light ovolo-moulded, half dormers with
stone-coped gables and ball finials. Door under rebated and chamfered
lintel with 2-light window above. To rear and sides mixture of early
C17, tall 2 and 3-light chamfered stone mullions.
Interior: Internal walls rubble stone. Early C17 turned baluster
staircase with moulded handrail and square newels. Panelling under
stairs with 6-panelled door with fluted rails to cellar. Similar door
above but remainder on lower storeys are early C17 2-panelled doors
with raised fields and wooden latches. Chamfered ceiling beams.
Massive ridge and purlins rest on internal stone walls.
