Formerly 2 cottages and a smithy now 3 cottages: c1840 for William
Clayton. Buff sandstone rubble, Kerridge stone-slate roof and 3 stone
chimneys. Rectangular plan. 2-storey, 4-bay front. To right 2,
2-unit cottages with doors in rough stone surrounds and 2-light wooden
casements (2 altered) under stone lintels. To left, former smithy
under repair but 2, 2-light wooden casements above. Along the front
there is an embattled parapet with flagged copings.
