GV II
House, at one stage used as school house. C18, reworked C19. Red brick laid
in header bond, with zigzag patterning in vitrified bricks. C19 part in plain
red brick. Clay tile roofs with fishscale tile patterning slates to rear.
Original block is 2 storeyed, of 2-room plan with C19 2-storeyed addition to
N. Main block has symmetrical facade, with 2 windows to ground floor and 3
windows to first floor. All are 2-light casements with glazing bars,
apparently in slightly enlarged openings, ground floor ones with C19 gauged
yellow brick heads. Central doorway has C19 yellow brick arch. 6 panel door,
top pair glazed. Gable end chimney stacks rebuilt C19. C19 block to LH has 2
sash windows per floor.
