House, now hotel. Formerly called Moore Place, built c.1786 by Francis Moore.
Altered and extended C19. Red brick laid in header bond, most bricks
vitrified with red brick dressings. 2-span slate roof. 3 storeyed double-
pile plan. 3 window facade. Venetian windows to ground floor and centre of
first floor. Diocletian window to centre of 2nd floor. Others are square-
headed windows. All are sashes with glazing bars under gauged brick heads.
Central C19 porch, distyle in antis, with heavy moulded entablature. Panelled
door, surmounted by semi-circular fanlight with radiating glazing bars, and
flanked by side-lights. Modillion cornice to eaves. External multiple
chimney stacks to both side elevations. C19 lower block to RH in similar
style.
