House, now converted to hotel. C16 and C17. Timber framed construction,
mostly with colourwashed plaster infill, but red brick infill to some areas.
Clay tile roofs. H-plan, 2 storeyed main block, cross-wings of 2 storeys and
attics. Leaded casement windows throughout, mostly C20 replacements. Ground
floor of central block has lean-to addition out to line of cross-wings. To LH
of central block is substantial red brick ridge stack with 5 moulded octagonal
shafts. RH cross-wing has red brick stack to RH side wall. Rear elevation
has small gabled projection of 2 storeys and attics in line with ridge stack.
Variety of C20 additions to rear.
