Church, now redundant. C14-15. Clunch and flint rubble; some brick.
Small building with nave and chancel undivided and a 2-stage W tower.
The tower has buttressed lower stage. Plain parapet. Late C14 ground and
upper floor 2-light windows. C15 S porch has arched door in moulded
square frame and a cinquefoiled window on each side wall. Embattled
parapet to porch, nave and chancel. In S nave wall is a 3-light C15
window with depressed arch and 3 cinquefoiled lancets; 6 cinquefoiled
lancets in tympanum. Single square-headed cinquefoiled lancet to right.
Restored S chancel window. E window is similar to 3-light nave window. N
nave wall shows C18 brickwork and a C15 arched door frame. Interior:
canopied and crocketed stoup in porch. In nave is an unusually rich C15
octagonal font with traceried and cusped panels and shields and foliage
under the bowl. Some C15 nave benches and an incomplete kneeling figure
of Rector William Makesey (d.1424). C15 decorative roundel in E window.
