Hall house, now house. Mid C15, extended late C16, early C18 and late C20.
Timber frame, painted brick infill, old tile gabled and hipped roofs. L-Plan
with extensions on south west and south east. 2 storeys. 3 chimneys, one on
ridge, one on north east gable and one with a large raked base on south west.
Casement windows, mostly C19 with horizontal glazing bars. Entrance (north
west) front: irregular, scattered windows. Two 3-light windows on first floor
with one very small window at right end. Two larger 3-light windows on
ground floor with plain entrance door under C20 gabled porch between. Right
hand section set back with hipped roof, large chimney projecting on left with
one small window on left of chimney. One 2-light window on ground and first
floors to right of chimney. Interior: good quality frame exposed in oldest
section on north east with large jowled posts and curved windbraces. Principal
beams only visible on ground floor in later section, chamfered with run-out
stops. There is a large C20 timber framed extension on south east of no special
interest.
