House. Late C18; roof raised, stack replaced and front and rear re-fenestrated
c1980. Thin coursed hammer-dressed stone, stone slate roof. 2 storeys. 2-cell
central entry plan, double-depth. All windows have replaced flat-faced mullioned
windows. 1st cell has 4-light window to each floor. Doorway with monolithic
jambs. 2nd cell has 3-light window with 4-light above (originally 3-light,
previous list description). Coped gables. End ridge stack to left. An
Indenture dated 1782 for the Tudor House (q.v.) next door mentions "those two
dwelling-houses or tenements adjoining one upon another and one of them lately
erected". It is likely that the lately erected house is this one in question
and thus it may be more closely dated to c1782. Included for group value.
