Pair of cottages. Mid C19, For the Thorp Arch estate. Coursed, squared
magnesian limestone, Welsh slate roof. 2 storeys and attics, 2 windows to
1st floor; reflected pair. Each cottage has door and overlight under plain
lintel on outside of a 16-pane sash with projecting stone sill and lintel as
door (No 17 has part-glazed door, that to No 19 is 4-panel); similar lst-
floor windows. Oversailing eaves; central yellow brick ridge stack with 6
octagonal flues rising from shared base. Returns have round-arched windows
to 1st floor and attic.
