House and attached cottage in single occupation. House, mid-late
C17; cottage, late C18. House, rubble brought to course; cottage,
hammer-dressed stone, stone slate roofs. 2 storeys. House, to left
has 3-cell baffle-entry plan with 2 storey porch at junction of 2nd
and 3rd cells. All are double-chamfered mullioned windows mostly
lacking mullions, but formerly of 3-lights with 2-light above; 3-light,
with lowered sill, 3-light above; 4-light with 3-light above (altered
to a single light). Porch has quoined angles, coped gable with kneelers
and flat-arched doorway with chamfered surround. Inner doorway has
stop-chamfered jambs but altered lintel. 2 stacks to ridge. Cottage,
to right has higher roof. single cell., two lst-floor windows. Doorway
with monolithic jambs on right. To left, on both floors, a 2-light
flat-faced mullioned window with recessed mullion in raised plain-stone
surround retaining 4-pane sashes. Single 4-pane sash window over door.
Gable stacks. Coped gable with kneelers to right.

Interior: house, porch has stone stairway to 1st floor and 2 doorways
one to housebody and one to service room. Both have large-scantling
beams to ceilings with stop-chamfered spine beams and floor joists.
