II
Smithy. Late C18. Irregularly coursed gritstone rubble, sparsely
mortared, stone slate roof. Single storey workshop with shoeing
bay to left, set back. Large gritstone quoins. The date 1788
crudely inscribed on a quoin to front right. Irregular dressings.
Squat window to each side of workshop doorway. Recent window frames
and door, also large door to shoeing bay with wood lintel over. Stacks,
rebuilt in punched wallstone, to each end of main workshop and situated
either side of ridge.
