No 3 Brentwood Cottages
and Brentwood End Cottage

2 cottages. Dated 1730, with late C19 alterations. Slobbered squared rubble,
stone dressings, stone slate roof. Gable end of terrace to street. 2 storeys,
3 bays. Brentwood End Cottage: left-hand entrance, moulded surround and dated
lintel inscribed P/RJ. c1970 door. To right is double chamfered 3-light mullioned
window with 2 similar but 2 light windows in upper floor; C20 casements. No
3 is in a similar style, but restored in late C19. Right-hand entrance has plain
surround; c1970 door. One 2-light double chamfered mullioned window to left
on each storey; C20 casements and sashes. Shaped modillions at eaves. Right-hand
gable end and left-hand ridge stacks. Interior of Brentwood End Cottage reputed
to have oak staircase and oak panelled doors and 2 large stone fireplaces. It
has an oak panelled small wall cupboard dated 1730.
