1 & 2 Ellergill Cottage

Formerly 3 cottages, now 2 cottages. Dated 1820. Watershot masonry, painted
stone dressings, stone slate roof to No 1, Welsh slate to No 2. 2 storeys, 3
bays. No 1 has left-hand entrance with plain surround. c1950s door. One window
per storey have plain surrounds, projecting sills and 6 pane sashes. No 2 formerly
has a central pair of entrances with plain surrounds left-hand entrance now
blocked: right-hand entrance has 4-panel door, upper half glazed. 2 windows
per storey, similar to those in No 1. Painted oval plaque above entrance inscribed
J & E DAVISON and dated. Wooden eaves modillions, gable end ridge stacks and
ridge stack at junction of 1 and 2.
