Farmhouse. Late C17 with late C19 addition at north end. Dressed
limestone, thatched roof with ashlar stacks with moulded cappings,
coped verges. T-plan. Two-storey, 4-window front. C19 half-
glazed door with flat wooden hood, 3-light recessed chamfered
mullioned casement either side, two C19 three-light mullioned
casements with cast iron lights in C19 build to right. First
floor has four 3-light mullioned casements and one small casement.
Left return has inserted doorway to basement. Rear of main range
has 4-panelled door and 2-light casement to right of wing, 2-light
mullioned casement and 3-light wooden casement to first floor.
Original wing has one C17 mullioned casement on north side, rest
renewed C19. C19 two-bay north range has planked-door and 3-light
and 2-light mullioned windows with latticed cast iron casements,
lean-to canopy to ground floor.
Interior has basement under south end with open fireplace with
chamfered lintel on stone jambs. South drawing room over has
plank and muntin partition against through passage, some reset
wainscot panelling, chamfered beams with stepped stops. Planked
doors with semi-circular heads to ground floor. Proposed removal
of thatched roof and replacement with tiles August 1986.
