TL 18 SE SAWTRY THE GREEN

House, now public house. Early C19. Limestone ashlar faced with original
roof now covered with modern interlocking tiles. Flush end stacks, of brick
above the ridge. Plan of main range to the Green and a domestic wing forming
an L-plan. Two storeys and attic. Three modern dormers. Three C19 sixteen
panel, flush frame hung sashes under flat arches. Two later C19 bay windows
flank central doorway in double recessed round headed arch. The rear range
possibly earlier has rendered walls and steeply pitched roof. Interior has no
features of interest other than a c.1840 grey marble fireplace.
