House. Early C19 remodelling of earlier building, with later alterations.
Coursed rubble, stone dressings, slate roof. Former through passage plan,
symmetrical front. 2½ storeys, 2 gables with ball finials, 3 windows, all
16-pane sashes with flat splayed stone heads, cills, central fielded panelled
door with transom light in moulded wood frame, formerly had gabled porch, 12-pane
window in each gable; south side has 16-pane sash at 1st floor as on front and
2-light casement above, north side has ground floor single light 8-pane
casement, 1st floor 2-light casement with glazed upper sections, 2-light
casement above, gable with ball finial to each side. Rear has all early C19
casements except square window with diamond and margin glazing bars at ground
floor 2nd from left and small C19 window with pointed arch and stained glass at
1st floor 2nd from left, single storey wing to right has plank door and 12-pane
window. Interior: wide hall with dog-leg stair, front rooms have shutters to
windows with panelled soffits and aprons, cellar under front right.
